Periodontics (Gum Treatment)

Dental care is not limited only to treat teeth. Periodontics is dedicated to provide treatment for gums (tooth supporting tissues) and for patients who are in need of periodontal assessment we will advise and treat them to provide with the solid foundation necessary to achieve and maintain excellent oral health.

In The UK it has been shown a great incidence of periodontal cases involving gum inflammation, infection, alveolar bone loss, tooth mobility, bleeding gums and build -up of plaque and tartar. The prevention, diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease is one of the most important fields in dentistry.

Prevention of developing gum disease starts from the basic good oral hygiene instructions like tooth brushing techniques, frequency, timing, diet, and above all visiting the dentist regularly.

Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)

Root Canal therapy (Endodontics) is performed when the pulp (nerves, blood  and lymphatic vessels) inside the tooth is damaged due to caries, dental injuries, trauma, tooth fracture, old defective fillings among other reasons; bacteria reach the pulp and inflammation begins. This inflammation is called pulpitis and requires root canal treatment. In the practice we try to make painless and relaxing sessions for root canal treatment, in addition we offer sedation for nervous patients.

The duration of the endodontic treatment depends on the diagnosis of the disease and the complexity of the clinical case. After endodontic treatment it is very important to properly restore the tooth (for example placement of a crown) to protect the tooth and root canal system from re- infection and reduce the risk of root/tooth fracture.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry restores teeth aesthetics. In modern dentistry high quality filling materials are used. During this procedure, it is possible to change the colour, shape  and position of the tooth. Before the fillings the teeth are slightly polished, depending on the damage and position of the tooth. After some polishing, crooked and protruding teeth get visually straightened. While many people have confessed that they hide their smiles because they believe their teeth are uneven, discolored, chipped, and too long or too short. Cosmetic dentistry is a way to enhance the appearance of your teeth.
